I am an Assistant Professor in the department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Just a few months ago, I have defended my PhD dissertation "Incorporating Social Media Data in Human Dynamics and Resilience Models: A Hybrid Space Urban Analytics Approach to the 2022 Blizzard and Covid Responses" in Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo. During my PhD, I was extremely fortunate to be advised by Dr. Lucie Laurian and guided by a group of great minds including Dr. Andrew Crooks and Dr. Emmanuel Frimpong Boamah.
Prior to coming to the US, I stayed in different countries and cities for my studies. I obtained my master’s degree in Spatial Data Science and Visualization from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at University College London (UCL) in the UK, and a national landscape architect diploma (Diplôme d'État de Paysagiste) from École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture et de Paysage de Bordeaux (ENSAP Bx) in France. My educational background started at Tianjin University where I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning.
